Description This unique project, which brings together a variable number of players on the Lyra 8 synthesizer, was founded by Petr Vrba in 2021 to experimentally test various performance techniques in the process of interpretation of abstract graphic scores primarily by Czech and Slovak composers. LyrArkestra+ is dedicated to the interpretation of graphic scores in a non-traditional audiovisual concept. All sounds come from or pass through the aforementioned synthesizer, which is described as "organismic", i.e. close to living organisms in its internal interactions and functioning on the basis of imaginary "conversations" between individual modules. Similarly, multidirectional communication takes place during the performances of the ensemble. On the one hand, there is the interaction between the players and the open score, the interpretation of which is modernized given the use of Lyra 8. At the same time, the individual musicians - distinctive and diverse figures in the improvisational scene in particular - interact with each other, having the space to express their own voices, but at the same time collaborating with the ensemble. The musical component is then followed by visuals by Cristina Maldonado, Keya Singh and Isabela Juchniewicz.
