Description | Dream Worlds: Jan Zuziak, Sándor Győrffy, József R. Juhász, Max Lysáček, Max Máslo The exhibition presents five generationally different artists from the Central European region, straddled between several worlds, real and fictional, and many media. They all reflect and question concepts of identity, polyphrenia, dystopia, nomadism, freedom, and escape, as formative tools in a world that has found itself at the crossroads of paradigms. For Zuziak, Győrffy, and Juhász, it is about alienating socialist reality, from which they escaped through their concepts of more acceptable realities in contrast to ideologically imposed pseudo-creativity. The life experience of Max Lysáček and Max Máslo, on the other hand, is exposed to the turbulence of a democratic but technocratic and post-factual situation in which only instability is stable. |
