| Description | Poor people´s institutions (Armeninstitute) based on the voluntariness of donors and the selection of recipients, were founded during the reign of Emperor Joseph II. The lecture presents the hitherto unknown fact that Armenian institutes continued to exist in several countries of the Austrian Empire in the 19th century.The lecture was held at the Department of History and the Center for Economic and Social History of the Faculty of Arts, University of Ostrava in Ostrava. |
