Description The present article deals with the topic of sociology of literature, focusing on the theoretical concepts of French philosopher Bruno Latour and one of the most influential approaches of contemporary social theory – actor-network theory (ANT). The author focuses on the possibilities of using ANT in literary studies, inspired, for example, by the concepts of the American literary theorist Rita Felski or the French sociologist Antoine Hennion. The article culminates into the application of this method to a canonical work of 20th century Czech literature – Bohumil Hrabal's Too Loud a Solitude.
