| Description | The presentation presented verse passages of the classic Chinese novel Jin Ping Mei «???» (The Plum in the Golden Vase) and their poetic reconstruction in contemporary Czech translation. Jin Ping Mei, a Ming dynasty novel known for its prose interspersed with poetry, presents a wide range of verse types, including stanzas, couplets, poems, ballads, descriptive prose, and love lyrics. The translation strategies used to preserve the original poetic structure, parallelism, imagery, and tonal qualities of the Czech language were then presented. |
