Description ESTIA is essentially a partnership among eight European research institutions (see full list below) for a doctoral training network that focuses its research and training activities on experimental studies of archaeological ceramics, as a vital approach for the reconstruction and testing of ancient ceramic recipes, techniques, and tools, providing practical insights into how past cultures technologically evolved, solved issues, and developed and sustained long-term ceramic traditions.
