| Description | The destruction of the Ramparts of the combined structure is considered aclear evidence of the fortification of key early medieval political centers. In the area of Great Moravia, the construction of fortifications is considered a reaction to the conquest campaigns of the Frankish armies. Unfortunately, the construction date is in most cases only relative. If it is absolute, it turns out that they were built at the very end of the 9th century. Who was the builder/investor of these fortifications, where did the knowledge of their construction come from and against whom were they built are key questions that we need to address. |
