| Description | This book is dedicated to electoral thresholds, barriers which bar small parties from entry to elected bodies. The book defines both the function of electoral threshold as a variable of electoral system and explains its ability to limit principles of electoral law. The core of the book is a comprehensive constitutional analysis of the electoral thresholds in PR systems in the Czech Republic. The analysis focuses on the anchoring of electoral thresholds into electoral laws and efforts to change or repeal them both in the legislative field and through a review of their constitutionality. |
