Description This study focuses on the adaptation, validation, and revision of the Spanish- origin Social Anxiety Questionnaire for Children (SAQ-C) using a sample of 740 lower-secondary school students from 13 randomly selected schools in Moravia. Two school-specific factors, explaining most of the variance were extracted from the original scale. The revised scale underwent exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis on split samples, showing high factor loadings and excellent fit indices (CFI, TLI > 0.99). Measurement invariance confirmed consistency across genders. Multiple regression revealed gender and academic self-concept as significant predictors of school-related social anxiety, with school performance playing a smaller role.
