| Description | The article presents the current trends in children's and youth literature in the Czech Republic. It presents a selection of new books that have been awarded or nominated for the Golden Ribbon Award in the last five years (2020–2025), most of which have not yet been translated into Spanish. The article notes trends in contemporary Czech literature for children and youth, which shows a deep interest in emotional development, empathy, and connection with nature. The safe environment of reading allows young readers to explore complex emotions, symbolically cope with loss, diversity, or fear, and find models of resilience and growth in the fictional characters. A combination of literary quality, visual innovation, and thematic diversity characterizes contemporary Czech children's and youth literature. |
