Description This study focuses on the transformation process of the narrator in theatrical adaptations of selected novels by contemporary Czech authors thematising expulsion or return in the context of racial and national intolerance. More specifically, it examines the transformations of narrative perspectives and practices in novels by Radka Denemarková (Money from Hitler), Kateřina Tučková (The Expulsion of Gerta Schnirch), and Alena Mornštajnová (Hana), and their subsequent dramatisations. It aims to identify the ways in which the narrative dimension of the novel is transformed into a dramatic text. The methodological framework of the study draws primarily on the Czech theoretical approaches of Aleš Merenus, Iva Šulajová, and Pavel Janoušek, while also engaging with international scholarship (Patrice Pavis and Linda Hutcheon).
