Description	The titanosilicate molecule containg a cubic Ti4Si4O12 core was treated with a series of alcohols, silanols, phenols, and acids to replace selectively substituents on Ti and Si atoms. The results of these reactions point to a surprisingly inert Si-N bond. The substitutions take place at the isopropoxide groups on titanium. We prepared several new titanosilicate compounds by these reactions.
