Description	Chromosome numbers are given for 17 taxa of Hieracium subgen. Pilosella originating from Central Europe: Hieracium apatelium, H. aurantiacum, H. bauhini, H. brachiatum, H. densiflorum, H. echioides, H. floribundum, H. glomeratum, H. guthnickianum, H. lactucella, H. onegense, H. pilosella, H piloselliflorum, H. piloselloides, H. rothianum, H. schultesii and hybrid H. floribundum x H. aurantiacum. Breeding system in seven taxa was studied.
