Description The aim of the study wa to determine interrelationship between blood pressure and pulse interval variability with respect to baroreflex sensitivity inhealthy and hypertensive children. We found causal interrelationship between blood pressure and pulse interval variability and baroreflex sensitivity. The primarily higher blood pressure variability in hypertensive children could be a sign of increased sympathetic activity and it explained relatively high pulse interval variability in low BRS.
