Description	The Hostýnské vrchy Mts. are situated in the central part of Moravia and belong to the Outer Carpathian flysch range. I distinguished and analysed 12 forest communities from 7 alliances there: The alluvial forests of the Alnion incanae, mesophilous oakhornbeam forests of the Carpinion, scree and ravine forests of the Tilio-Acerion, herb-rich beech and fir-beech forests of the Fagion, acidophilous beech forest of the Luzulo-Fagion and species-poor acidophilous oak forests of the Genisto germanicae-Quercion. Ecological requirements of the communities were characterized by Ellenberg indicator values.
