| Description | Czech critics prefer Marketa Lazarová, the film of František Vláčil, as the best Czech film ever made; but this masterpiece is practically unknown abroad. The young Czech filmmaker Tomáš Hejtmánek was inspired by the personality of Vláčil and made a semi-documentary full-length film Sentiment about him. The connection between the two films and the context of spiritual inspired cinema is questioned in this article. |
