Description The devices of protection are technological atribut of the greek and roman sculpture. Author made the analysis of the manner of use of struts from the greek sculpture, roman copies to the late antiquity.At the end of the 4rd century the struts at late early christian sarcophagi lost their protective function and were only the manner of sculpture style.
