Description This essay presents some facts about handling stress by basic school female teachers, based on researches from 1992 and 2002 that were carried out using the same method, and on the research that was carried out using the SVF 78 questionnaire (the strategy of handling stress) by W. Janek and G. Erdmann. Comparing all the data allows comparatively unified interpretation that points out to the importance of social support and alternate activities when handling stress on the part of basic school female teachers and on taking care of more extensive usage of positive coping strategies.
