Description Marián Zouhar has recently defended a theory that the meaning of a proper name "N" is the same as the meaning of description "the only bearer of name 'N'". According to common-sense, any description picks out its reference contingently-rigidly (it is possible, that nobody is named by certain name). If the description "the only bearer of name 'N'" is considered as rigid (as Zouhar has claimed), substitution when having an identity statement with two such distinct descriptions as a premise is admitted and we can obtain the paradox of analysis. Hence Zouhar's descriptive theory of proper names' meaning seems refutable.
