Description The paper describes communicational and development framework for simulation of electrical power networks. The system is based on the principles of multi-agent systems and it includes standard technologies in this field - communicational protocols CORBA and KQML. In the text, we present basic features of the system with regards to the communication of particular elements. The system is designed for transformation from the area of simulation to the area of on-line data acquisition, functionality monitoring and control of electrical power networks. The design is general and extendable - its principle features can be used even in other areas of simulation and control of processes.
