Description The article deals with the possibilities of application of two classical concepts of party families on conditions of Central Europe. First, Michael Gallagher, Michael Laver and Peter Mair concept is based on the genetic origin, cross-national links and programme policies of parties. Second, Klaus von Beyme concept comes out from ideological-programme approach and genetic origin of parties. Beymes concept is broader and more flexible, thats why it is useful for many times changeable identity of parties of Central Europe.
