Description The text presents a research project focused on identifying the attitudes of teacher trainees at two faculties of Masaryk University towards education, the goal being to determine the individual level of motivation. Differences between faculties and genders were studied, too. The research was based on Rogers theory of innovation diffusion, particularly his categorization of innovation acquirers. It is assumed that attitudes of teacher trainees towards ICT and their commitment to innovation are likely to significantly inform their general attitude towards modern information and communication technologies in their future teaching practice as well as towards their specific use of ICT in teaching and learning.
