| Description | In Western sociological literature there has existed for a considerable time the life stage defined as post adolescence (Heath, Cleaver 2003). The life of today's twenty-somethings and thirty somethings lacks the defining characteristics traditionally associated with adulthood - having ones own family and children. In contrast with earlier standardised biographies typical for past historical periods, personal biographies in "late modernity" are reflexively constructed. |
