Description We meet the description of idolatry (of the Assyrian origin) known from texts of the Czech reformation (Matthias of Janov, Jakoubek of Stříbro, Nicholas of Dresden) also in secular poetry of the Latin Middle Ages, in a piece with incipit "Ex fideli veterum" (Walther 5984) recorded in the Codex of the St. Petersburg Library Lat. Q 14. n. 11, which is evidently of Czech origin.
