Description Study of the relationship of the early modern architectural theory and architectural practice as seen against the background of the presentation of Franz Anton Grimms collection of plans and drawings. The following stages of architectural practise are described: a) discussion concerning the third idea of Vitruvius; b) stereotomy; c) new designing style after 1700. This academic style came spread in Moravia through sophisticated milieu of Ingenieurs and Baudirectors.
