Description Teaching Polish for Czechs has its particularities that ensue from the fact the native language of students is another west Slavonic language. The more the mother and foreign languages similar are, the stronger the tendency to replace the real knowledge of language by an only intuition is and the greater the space for rising the interlingual interferences is. Gaining the communication competence must be also in the case of closely related languages a process of increasing acquiring the vocabulary and the grammatical rules. In the case of methods there falls an important role on the language typology and above all on the comparison method. The comparative (contrastive) approach makes possible to focus on the phenomena distinguishing both the languages. From the glottodidactic practice it is known that just these phenomena make Czechs the most significant difficulties at Polish.
