Description A specific version of a cornice crowning tile that once belonged to the superstructure or the pedestal of a stove with a "suspended" decoration, was discovered and determinated in the collection of late medieval and early neo-Gothic tiles from the Bouzov castle, Moravia. The uniqueness of the tile lies in the protruding part with a decorative incised component. These tiles started to feature on stoves in the 15th century and developed into more sophisticated shapes in the 16th century, in accordance with new artistic trends of the period.
