Description The article concentrates on description of the commun proceedings in the youth slang in Czech and French. These commun word-formating categories should be characterized as the 'slang parasystem'. The youth slang of Czech and French teenagers operates with the actualisation of the old slang's idioms, with the semantic neologisms and with the metaphors. Metaphors are frequently 'chained' by the synonymic and paronymic attractions. The expressif component in neologisms is erased by high frequency of usage where mainly the vulgarisms become quickly banalised. The intensity of expressif idioms is the most difficult to translate between Czech and French, as we show in examples.
