Description The early work of R. M. Rilke from his last Prague period (Larenopfer, Wegwarten, Zwei Prager Geschichten) presents many Czech characters. The author prefers those that comply with his view of the Czech "national psychology": sensitive fanatics longing to emerge in the healthy and sound nation. This means a divergence from the national image concerning its contents (and value), however, Rilke does not question the nation as a psychological determiner.
