Description Notwithstanding the differences in the degree to which the issues of workplace learning have been addressed and the level of its implementation in various countries, it may be said that neither planning, nor course or effects of workplace learning have been described sufficiently enough to enable the use of empirical evidence in formulating well-informed judgements and recommendations for implementation of workplace learning based on evidence. Questions such as the following have not been answered yet: Which is the real value and benefits of workplace learning for employees, their employers and national economies? Which are the effective ways of workplace learning planning, implementation and evaluation in organizations? How are "educators" to work in workplace learning to be trained? Which is the nature of the link between organizational workplace learning and organizational development? Does workplace learning possess real emancipatory potential? Which is the nature of the link between organizational structure, organizational culture and workplace learning? Etc. These questions are dealt with in research project "Decoding working places as learning spaces". The presentation will demonstrate what methodological, cultural and other challenges are researchers facing and what results have been achieved.
