| Description | The paper presents the newly discovered fragment of a Latin-German text, which was found in the binding of the manuscript III D 24 - Tractatulus pro informacione celebraturi editus (National Library of the Czech Republic, Prague). The text could be identified as the German translation of Disticha Catonis (Silesian version). A brief description of the fragment is given along with a short overview of its characteristic language features; furthermore a concise comparison of the respective text parts with other versions is attempted. |
