Description	The paper looks at different approaches to the concept of social enterprise and focuses on the environmental dimension of social enteprise in an age of individualisation. Examples of eco-social enterprises in Great Britain and the Czech Republic are given and definitions of an eco-social enterprise are attempted based on various criteria.
