| Description | Ontologies have proven to be a useful resource in natural language processing. In this paper, we introduce basic ideas of a shallow ontology named Sholva. This ontology is based on VerbaLex, a database of verb valencies, where each valency pointer also contains a pointer into EuroWordnet. We focused our effort on building ontology which would help us in solving real problems in syntactic analysis, word sense disambiguation and machine translation. |
