Citation
Description Without any Jewish ancestry, both translators share an interest in Jewish culture. Both translators also have vast experiece in translating poetry from a number of languages. Otto F. Babler's translations of 31 poems by Rosa Auslaender appeared in regime-censored Jewish Yearbook. Zlata Kufner's translations of 109 poems by the poet of Bukowina appeared as a book in Sefer, the publishing house of The Federation of Jewish Communities only after the fall of the Communist regime. The approaches of both translators are analysed and compared, where both translations are available.
