Description The paper presents first results of the research project Processes of organisational learning in schools and their leadership. The aim of the project is to contribute to understanding of theory and practice of leadership of organisational learning processes in schools. The first phase of the project is focused on theoretical analysis of the theme. First analysis of organisational learning in schools was conducted on three contentual levels. These levels are further elaborated in the paper. They are as follows: (1) schools as learning organisations; (2) organisational learning as a part of culture and development of a school; (3) organisational learning from the perspective of leadership and management of schools. The attention is especially paid to empirical research of these levels and to interrelations of these levels.
