Description	Production of fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals, i. e. products with excelent added value, provides per 1 part of product more than 100 parts of waste. On the other hand, petrochemical manufacturig has ratio product : waste ca 1 : 0.1. In the contribution it will be demonstrate a character of waste formed during the fine chemical and pharmaceutical production, a management of this waste, prevention ("at source") vs. "end of pipe" waste management by using methods of Chemistry for Sustaiable Development (Green Chemistry).
