Description The aim of this study was to evaluate the association of polymorphisms in genes pivotal for cardiovascular diseases with hemodynamic parameters (BRS, BPV) and point at possible risk factors for development of these diseases in sportsmen. A significant association of the studied polymorphism with monitored parameters was found. In active sportsmen, carriers of critical allels, their influence on alteration of cardiovascular system regulation, adaptation mechanisms and cardiovascular diseases development could be exerted.
