Description The authors of the present article deal with the conservative and traditionalist tendencies in contemporary Slovene, Czech, Slovak, Polish, and Russian literatures stressing the function of nostalgia for the past and the axiological role of this poetics in the process of confrontation between the old and the new in social, philosophical and aesthetic thought.
