Description Standard power network state models use global approaches to compute the network steady-state characteristics. In this paper, we present a different approach based on multi-agent system simulation. The presented system computes the three-phase power network steady-state using only local interactions of network elements based on the demands and capabilities of each node regarding the ``production'' and ``consumption'' of electric quantities such as voltage, current and power. We show the overall architecture of the system, as well as the details of the steady-state calculation. The capabilities of the system are demonstrated on a model of a real power network, and the results are compared to values from a global model approach system.
