Description The ceiling painting in the Philosophical Hall at the Strahov Canonry in Prague was executed in 1794 by Franz Anton Maulbertsch and his pupil Martin Michl, who were working here in accordance with the concetto of the Maulbertsch fresco in the library of the Premonstratensian monastery at Louka, Znojmo, created in 1778 and destroyed after abolition of monastery in 1784. The article analyses the painting decorations of the Strahov library (Philosophical Hall) after their last restoration (finished 2010). The analysis is focused on the form and style of paintings and technological aspects of their creation.
