Description When the queen Constantia, a dowager queen after the death of the Czech king Přemysl Otakar I., founded the Cistercian convent by Tišnov in Moravia in 1233, she already counted on being buried there. After her death on 6 December 1240 her body was really buried there. In 1867 the skeletal remains of the queen were exhumed and transported to the convent in Marienthal in Upper Lusatia (Germany). After the restoration of the convent by Tišnov they were returned back. In 2010 the skeletal remains were subjected to anthropological research. It was revealed in this research that the skeletal remains belonged to a younger woman who had not given birth. Therefore, they cannot be attributed to the queen Constantia.
