Description The author of the present contribution deals with „the flowing of history“ and „philosophy“ of chronicle structures. He understands Russian literature in general and Russian classical and modern novel in particular as a permanent clash between the stationary and dynamic morphological principles, between the flowing of time in history and the demonic effort to model the history due to man‘s own goals, notions, and ideas. The typical Russian approach is rather the principle of the flowing in which man is only a little part of cosmic order. The genre of the novel chronicle may be a good example of this poetics.
