| Description | This publication is an edition of the documents related to the figure of the Protestant priest Daniel Sloboda (1809–1888) from Rusava. The book contains Sloboda’s correspondence with his relatives (father, brother, both wives, children, brothers-in-law) of the period from 1849 to the end of his life in 1888. The presented letters give evidence of historical events (e.g. letters by the father Michal on the course of the revolutionary years 1848–1849 in Skalice) as well as private life in the second half of the 19th century. The letters published in this volume are preserved in the Comenius Museum (Muzeum Komenského) in Přerov and the Slovak National Library (Slovenská národná knižnica) in Martin. |
