Description The paper presents main issues, which are necessary to deal with during implementation educational activities within a Multi-user virtual environment (MUVE). First thing, which is mentioned, is the core essence of new paradigm of teaching and learning, which is the Theory of constructivism and the Social- and cognitive-connectedness schemata (SCCS) proposed by Sontag. Secondly, the author discusses essential aspects of MUVE, which enhance communication and collaboration activities within such environment and bring positive aspects in to education activities. Next, paper provides an overview of the instructional design of 3D learning experience (3DLE) by Kapp and O`Driscol. Finally, author introduces the project VIAKISK (Virtual academic campus of library and information studies) within Second Life.
