Description MiRNA is extremely fast growing field, and miRNA knowledge is now believed to be a pivotal element of cancer biology. They can be also potentialy used in the clinical praxis as new diagnostic markers and therapy targets. This is also supported by the fact that first microRNAs enter the clinical trials. The first monograph on this topic is expected to provide introduction to the basic principles of miRNA biology, overview of miRNA significance in the hallmarks of cancer, experimental techniques used in miRNA research, and in special part - miRNAs importance in wide range of solid cancers with a special focus on its potential use in molecular pathology, predictive oncology or as a novel therapeutic targets. The monograph was prepared by team of authors, who have practical experience with microRNA research and their findings are published in international specialized journals.
