Description Even the pagans not belonging to any particular group, cult or coven, or before their final affiliation to it often pass through a sort of initiation or (self)dedication ritual to pagan path in general or to their chosen path. This survey explores two particular initiation rituals carried out by contemporary Czech pagans and tries to explain how are these highly syncretic and eclectic rituals made, what elements do they contain, where did these elements come from and why. It tries to find out the mechanisms of how are these new, invented rituals legitimized and accepted as valid by the Pagans engaged.
