About the programme

The INTERREG EUROPE programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). It is designed to promote policy learning between public authorities to improve the functioning of regional development policies and programmes. The aim is to promote international cooperation between public authorities – the sharing and exchanging of experience and innovations focused on the effective functioning of public policies in order to obtain optimal solutions for identifying and implementing development strategies.

Projects are open to public authorities, public institutions, and private non-profit bodies.

 

Interreg Czech Republic - Slovakia

A programme offering cross-border cooperation in education. It concerns the Trnava, Trenčín, Žilina, South Moravian, Zlín and Moravian-Silesian Regions.

The programme has 4 priority axes:

  • PO1 Exploiting innovation potential
  • PO2 Quality environment
  • PO3 Development of local initiatives
  • PO4 Technical assistance

Interreg Czech Republic - Austria

A programme offers cross-border cooperation between the Czech Republic and Austria. It concerns the South Bohemian, South Moravian and Vysočina Regions and Austria parts of Upper and Lower Austria, including Vienna.

Thematic objectives/priority axes:

  • PO1 Strengthening research, technological development, and innovation
  • PO2 Environment and Resources
  • PO3 Human Resources Development
  • PO4 Sustainable networks and institutional cooperation

The proposal must meet at least 3 of criteria above for project fulfilment:

  • Joint project preparation
  • Joint project implementation
  • Joint staff
  • Joint financing

A researcher must consult the submission of proposals with the MU Office for Development and the South Moravian Regional Authority.

Interreg Danube

The programme covers up to 85% of costs on cooperation in the Danube Region. It includes 4 priority axes:

  • PA1 Innovative and socially responsible Danube Region
  • PA2 Environmentally and culturally responsible Danube Region
  • PA3 A better connected Danube Region
  • PA4 A well-governed Danube Region

Interreg Central Europe

The programmes includes these priority axes:

  • PA 1 Cooperation in innovation to increase the competitiveness of Central Europe
  • PA 2 Cooperation on low-carbon strategies in Central Europe
  • PA 3 Cooperation in natural and cultural resources for sustainable growth in Central Europe
  • PA 4 Transport cooperation to ensure better connections in Central Europe
