Ensemble Versus: Ad manus

Ad manus is a dramaturgically original concept within the year-round concert operation of the ensemble. The title is a Latin translation of the words "to the hands": it symbolically thematizes silence and meditation, invites to calm down and seeks inner harmony. The evening will include music by Ukrainian composer Valentyna Silvestrov, the premiere of a revised version of a guitar quartet by composer-in-residence - and this time performer - Ondrej Kyas, a choral work by James MacMillan composed for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, and a piece by American composer Caroline Shaw that inspired the evening's concept. For the first time, Ensemble Opera Diversa will be conducted by Patrik Buchta, one of the choral directors of the associated and present Ensemble Versus.
