Philologists used tomography to read an ancient curse tablet
Latin text written on an ancient curse tablet from Savaria is due to corrosion almost unreadable today. Thus, philologist (among them also Daniela Urbanová from the Department of Classical Studies) collaborated with archeologists and engeneers and used tomography to read the text.

The Czech translation of the Byzantine epos Digenis Akritis has been published recently. Markéta Kulhánková from the Department of Classical studies has been one of its translators.
