Masaryk University in Brno) presents another stage of the long-term frame project of the Czech Music Dictionary of Persons and Institutions. It‘s going to continue the previous two stages funded by the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (GA408/01/1460 and GA408/04/2072 which terminates this year). This time t will be dedicated to the pile of entries of music publicists, musicologists and authors of texts about music.
individual parts of the frame project (specific sets of articles) are also financed by other sources, specially by the Czech Ministry of Culture and by internal research funds of the Institute of musicology in Brno. The dictionary is available via on-line free access at vww.ceskvhudebnislovnik.cz. The entries are written by some 100 different authors. The different phases of work will bring the edition and publication of some 16.000 entries covering all significant subjects of the music culture of the Czech Lands in the past and present. In respect to the present stage of research it‘s a long-term frame project for the period of at least 12 years altogether.
The dictionary will continue to be available In an on-line internet version, which enables its constant inovation and extension of the data files.
